Planet of the Apes (1968)

Charlton Heston stars in this sci-fi classic about an astronaut crew that lands on a planet which is dominated by apes.

Each year the Librarian of Congress names 25 films to be added to the National Film Registry, a collection of films which are deemed "culturally, historically or aesthetically" significant.
