The Behind-the-Rocks / South West Neighborhood Team

We are the Behind the Rocks/South West Neighborhood Team. Our goal is to connect with the people in the neighborhood surrounding the Goodwin Branch. Team members have participated in meetings and/or events of the Behind the Rocks/South West Problem Solving Committee, Neighborhood Revitalization Zone Planning Committee, Hartford Areas Rally Together (HART), Southside Institutions Neighborhood Alliance (SINA), New Britain Avenue Merchants Association, Southside Family House, Southwest Senior Center, and Bulkeley High’s 21st Century Learning Center. We have collaborated on programs and shared information.

The elementary schools located in the Behind the Rocks/South West neighborhood are Batchelder, Hooker, Kennelly, McDonough and Moylan. Team members have visited classrooms and participated in school open houses.
