The Blue Hills Branch Library Neighborhood Team is a group of dedicated and talented employees of the Hartford Public Library who work to identify issues, concerns and opportunities in the Blue Hills neighborhood and attempt to offer to residents the Library's helpful, safe and free services and programs.

By participating in local organizations and meetings, and reaching out to connect with the community through shared concerns, the team encourages our community neighbors to use the Library's services as part of their daily lives.

Team representatives attend grand openings of local business and yearly participates in local Fairs and family celebrations. The Blue Hills Branch Library Open House is a twice-yearly event much anticipated and appreciated by the community. The Team encourages local leaders and representatives to speak at our monthly meetings in order to facilitate the exchange of information and increase networking potential. The Team is committed to participating in many facets of local concern, including the Blue Hills Merchants Association, the Blue Hills Civic Association, and Parent-Teacher Organization meetings at no less than seven community schools: the Fisher Elementary School, Weaver High School, Jumoke Academy, the Rawson School, the Mark Twain School, the Fox Middle School, and RAMBUH.
