Our workplaces are the Ropkins Branch and the Main Library. We also have a strong partnership with the SAND Elementary School.

The annual "Arsenal of Ideas Breakfast", provided by the Ropkins Branch, Hartford Tenants Rights Federation and SAND Elementary School Family Resource Center, served information about Family Place, NRZ meetings, My Sisters Place, the hosting of the Leadership Greater Hartford and the Always on Saturday Program. The SAND Teenage Center, African American Spelling Bee, IRS Tax Service, SAND Elementary School grand opening, Clay-Arsenal Business Directory, Story Bag, and Head to the Library were also on the menu.

The Women’s League , St. Monica’s, Mt. Olive and Thomas D. Ritter Head Start continue to join in Library activities. SAND Elementary School, the Sylvan Center and Ropkins Branch are partnering for the summer school initiatives.

Our calendar shows a Teacher Appreciation Tea and new Technology Center opening in the very near future. Visit our neighborhood – join our "Arsenal of Ideas"!

Team representatives attend grand openings of local business and yearly participates in local Fairs and family celebrations. The Blue Hills Branch Library Open House is a twice-yearly event much anticipated and appreciated by the community. The Team encourages local leaders and representatives to speak at our monthly meetings in order to facilitate the exchange of information and increase networking potential. The Team is committed to participating in many facets of local concern, including the Blue Hills Merchants Association, the Blue Hills Civic Association, and Parent-Teacher Organization meetings at no less than seven community schools: the Fisher Elementary School, Weaver High School, Jumoke Academy, the Rawson School, the Mark Twain School, the Fox Middle School, and RAMBUH.
