The
Hartford Historical Preservation Ordinance becomes effective as of
December 13, 2006. It is part of Hartford's Municipal Code. The City of
Hartford, Historic Preservation Commission, Hartford Preservation Alliance,
Hartford Public Library and Hartford 2000 present a workshop on December 14,
2006 at 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for the public to find out how this new ordinance may
effect property owners. The workshop, which is in the Program Room, is free, but

Preservation Alliance is a professionally-operated, volunteer-assisted
501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of the
unique architectural heritage and neighborhood character of Hartford,
Connecticut.
National Register of Historic Places: Hartford County, CT This
register provides the date a certain property was entered into the register as
well as its historic significance, its original and current use along with exact
location.
Old
State House is itself an historic landmark.
It is open to the public and will be providing space for some of the Connecticut
Historical Society's public programming while the latter is undergoing
renovation.
