West Nile Virus (West Nile Encephalitis) is a topic of increasing concern to Connecticut residents.  This Webliography provides a starting point for locating information about this disease and the mosquitoes that transmit it.  In 2002, West Nile Virus was confirmed in humans, mosquitoes, and birds in Hartford and the surrounding area.  Take personal precautions and actions to eliminate mosquito breeding places (standing water) and reduce the mosquito population in your neighborhood.
