Local Resources: Agencies, Organizations and Information
Connecticut Freedom
Trail explores the movement towards freedom of the state's African American
citizens. Sites include those used by people escaping slavery on the
Underground Railroad and sites associated with the
Amistad
case.
American Civil Liberties Union of
Connecticut is the local section of the national organization American Civil
Liberties Union. Its mission is to fight for the civil liberties guaranteed by
the Connecticut Constitution. It is a non-profit advocacy organization.

Online is a collaborative Web site of the
Connecticut Historical Society,
the Connecticut State
Library, the
Thomas J. Dodd Research Center at the University of Connecticut,
Mystic Seaport, and

New Haven Colony Historical Society. This collaborative effort provides a
large database of digital images for scholars, secondary school teachers,
genealogists and the general public.
