Join the search for the Maltese falcon in downtown Hartford by taking part in The Big Read Treasure Hunt. Using clues from Hartford’s history as their guide, players are led from one historic treasure to another in search of the illusive bird of prey. Pick up your Big Read “Hunt for the Maltese Falcon” playing guide in March at Hartford Public Library or download it here. Completed playing guides must be received by the Hartford History Center no later than Friday, March 28, 2008 to be included in a drawing on Saturday, March 29, 2008. Enter to win a year’s free subscription to Hog River Journal, the state’s premier publication dedicated to exploring Connecticut’s history one good story after another, along with a copy of Dashiell Hammett’s American classic, The Maltese Falcon.
