The Hartford Public Library provides summer learning resources to child care providers, including licenses, unlicensed, relatives or neighborhood caregivers who are caring for children in our community through these hot summer days. Child care providers can receive summer early literacy training and earn books for their child care libraries. CLICK HERE to sign up and/or log your books.

This program serves community-based providers of summer programs. Providers may choose from a menu of services provided by a dedicated summer reading coordinator, including library visits, one-on-one or group training, bibliographies or webliographies, a family engagement booklet, craft workshops, and more. Providers can also receive a Treasure Box FREE from the Hartford Public Library for weekly reading incentives for weekly campers. The top three camps with the most participation will get an ice cream party!

Open to camp groups—Counselors, register your camp group for visits to the library and help your kids earn prizes for reading.

Call 860-695-6330 or email program coordinator Fabjola Qosja fqosja@hplct.org for more information. To log the minutes your kids read, click here.
