Neighborhood Teams

Neighborhood Teams: Neighborhood Teams (consisting of Library staff) identify information needs throughout the community and devise ways in which the Library can help meet these needs. The Teams also disseminate information about Library activities and about City services to the community.

Community Information

HartfordInfo: HartfordInfo is a gateway to information and data about issues important to the people who live and work in Hartford and in the region. HartfordInfo strives to democratize information, make it easily accessible, and facilitate its interpretation and use. HartfordInfo fosters the use of information and data in local policymaking and community building.

Neighborhood History: The Library works with neighborhood residents and others to document and preserve the history of City neighborhoods as a way of providing community information and helping to build communities.

Civic Services

Voter registration: The Library provides voter registration forms and files completed forms with the registrar of voters.
Hartford.gov: The Library manages the City of Hartford web site.
Information on City Council Meetings: The Library produces (with the Citizens Research and Education Network) previews and summaries of every City Council meeting, and makes minutes of the meetings available electronically.
