Small Business 

The Library is a center for adult learning and achievement where entrepreneurs can thrive. We provide information, programs, access to technology, referrals, and a broad range of useful materials.

Small Business Workshop Series

The U.S. Small Business Administration, in partnership with Hartford Public Library and  Hartford SCORE chapter, is hosting a 4 week small business workshops series  taught by SBA employees and business professionals. Workshops are FREE; maximum sitting capacity 30. Copies of workshop materials are provided to each attendee.  To earn a certificate of completion you are encouraged to attend all the workshops 

Come to all four or attend the one that fits your needs. The four  modules focus on:

  • Nov 3 / The ABC’s of a Business Plan & Understanding a SWOT Analysis
  • Nov 10 / Understanding Credit Reports & How to Finance Your Small Business
  • Nov 17 / Marketing and Promoting your Business

Workshops take place at Hartford Public Library from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

Public Access Computers

Free public access computers with Microsoft Office products and Internet access are available at the Downtown Library and at all branches. A library card from any town in Connecticut is required to use computers in the Library.
