If you work with immigrants it is important for you to understand their rights, and to advise them accordingly. There is a lot of misinformation that is confusing both to providers and immigrants. This program will explain what immigrants should know if they encounter Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at their home, their workplace, or on the street. Presented by Kara Hart, Attorney, Greater Hartford Legal Aid (GHLA) a private, non-profit law firm that represents low-income individuals and groups in civil matters. GHLA serves eligible people regardless of their immigration status and represents survivors or domestic violence in immigration cases.
