provide resource to people with Hearing Impairments and their families.
Along with other assistive technology we have a dedicated TDD line that

This nationally known and respected
school is a gem in the greater Hartford community. It serves as a
model for similar schools country wide.
CT Council of
Organizations Serving the Deaf began 1969 in West Hartford,
and chartered in the State of Connecticut as a non-profit organization
on April 6, 1971. It is the first state-level coalition-type
organization of the deaf in the United States. It continues
actively to serve the deaf and hard of hearing residents of Connecticut.
The Council actively pursues equal rights for deaf and hearing impaired.
Through the Council's efforts the Commission on the Deaf and Hearing
Impaired was established.

The National Theatre of the Deaf has performed on all 7 continents.
It produces masterpieces from the World's greatest literature and links
Sign Language with the spoken word. It trains and employs deaf artists
and reaches out to a multicultural audience.

Web sites
Children of Deaf Adults is an organization formed in 1983 to support
the hearing, adult sons and daughters of the deaf. Members will
find support and education through this international organization.
Deaf Research
Foundation was established over 50 years ago and is the largest
national source of funding for deaf research. The foundation publishes a
free magazine quarterly. Subscription is available online
here.
National Association of the Deaf has been advocating for and
providing education to the deaf community since the late 1800's. Areas
of advocacy include American Sign Language, air travel, infant screening
and more.
