ESOL Classes

 

Free English language classes for speakers of other languages are offered at the Hartford Public Library in collaboration with Hartford Adult Education. Class space is limited.  If there is no space available the student will be place on the waitlist. The library can provide other options for learning English, such as training with special resources (videos, audiocassettes, computer programs).  A directory of city wide English language services to speakers of other languages is also available. Citizenship Test and Naturalization Interview

 

During your interview, your ability to read, write, and speak in English will be tested. You will be required to answer questions about your application and you will also be given a civics test (a  test of U.S. History and Government.) The following exercises will help you prepare for your citizenship exam. Your actual test may have questions that are not on these exercises.
