Passport Services
New Fees: New passport fees for the U.S. Passport Book, the U.S. Passport Card, and other passport services will be in effect on Tuesday, July 13, 2010.
You must pay both an execution fee and a passport application fee when applying for a U.S. Passport.
DS-11 Application - New Applicants
Routine Service-within 6 weeks (fee will change starting 7/13/2010)
Check 1: $25 Payable to Hartford Public Library
Check 2: $75 (Under Age 16 $60) Payable to U.S. Department of State
Expedited Service- within 2-3 weeks (Add $60 Per application) (fee will change starting 7/13/2010)
Check 1: $25 Payable to Hartford Public Library
Check 2: $135 (Under Age 16 $120) Payable to U.S. Department of State
Expedited Service with Express Mail within 14 calendar days (fee will change starting 7/13/2010)
(Add $60 Per application and 2-Way Overnight delivery)
Check 1: $41.50 Payable to Hartford Public Library
Check 2: $149.96 (Under Age 16 $134.96) Payable to U.S. Department of State
Passport renewal application is mailed by the applicant.

For those with proof of departure in less than two weeks, we recommend applying in person at the Connecticut Passport Agency.
