LAPTOP & WIFI HOTSPOT LOANING PROGRAM
This free program is open to Hartford residents age 24 or older who are enrolled in a high school completion program (GED), or WIOA Training program.
Given the limited supply of Laptop Computers and WiFi Hotspots, participants are required to meet federal economic guidelines and other requirements.
To see if you qualify to receive a Laptop Computers and WiFi Hotspot, you must interview in person with the Community Technology Coordinator at Hartford Public Library.
Applicants will be required to:
Complete an intake form
Register for a free library card
Complete a computer skills assessment
Participate in regular learning circles

Earn a Basic Digital Literacy Certificate
The Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment (NDLA) is an online self-guided assessment tool designed to test your knowledge on the use of computer hardware, software, and other technology skills. Test takers earn the Northstar Digital Literacy Certificate upon passing a test in a proctored environment. Those successfully completing multiple assessments have the option of receiving a summary certificate listing all units passed. Proctored NDLA Sessions:

Intermediate and Advanced Level Courses
