Important Apps:
The Palace Project App is the Connecticut State Library’s statewide library eBook platform.
Use the app to access free e-books and audiobooks provided by the Connecticut State Library and ALL of Hartford Public Library's (HPL) e-books and e-audiobooks. Just use your library card number and pin to login. Available on Apple and Android devices.
HPL App: HPL App, available on Android and Apple devices, allows you to browse our collections, place holds, and download ebooks and eaudiobooks.

Boundless
Important Update about Boundless App
The company that runs the Boundless ebook app will close on December 15. This means the Boundless app will stop working after December 14. Starting December 1, customers will not be able to check out new books or place holds. If you borrow a book before December 1, you can still finish reading or listening to it in the app.
The books on Boundless were bought by the Connecticut State Library and Hartford Public Library. The State Library’s books will move to the Palace Project app, and Hartford Public Library’s books will move to the Libby app. Both apps are free in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The Beat is a new collection of Hartford-based music, curated by the Hartford Public Library and a group of Community Curators from the Hartford music community.
Streaming the sounds of Hartford’s diverse communities The Beat delivers commercial-free, curated music from artists who represent CT’s Capital City. Jam, groove, or vibe out to Hartford’s best tunes, which can be accessed, 24/7, through a user-friendly digital music platform, free of charge. Furthermore, you can also download your favorite tracks for free, as long as you are a HPL cardholder.
