With your library card you can borrow a pass to visit the Wadsworth Atheneum, Mystic Aquarium or CT State Parks and Forests just as you would a book or video!

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum Library Pass (Ridgefield, CT)

The pass admits the pass-holder and accompanying family members. It can be checked out at the Downtown Library Service desk on the day it is to be used, or one day prior.

Any valid CT library card may be used as long as it is registered into our circulation system. We do require you to have the card with you. (You will be given a photocopy of the pass with the date and library location stamped on it. This arrangement with the Aldrich means you will not have to return the Library Pass.)


Connecticut’s Old State House Library Pass

The pass is valid for general admission for up to two adults and two children, during regular operating hours. (It cannot be used for admission to special or after-hours events.) It can be checked out at the Downtown Library Service desk on the day it is to be used. 

Any valid CT library card may be used to borrow the pass, as long as it is registered into our circulation system. We do require you to have the card with you. (You will be given a photocopy of the pass with the date and library location stamped on it. This arrangement with the Old State House means you will not have to return the Library Pass.)


Connecticut Science Center Discount Coupon

Free admission for Hartford residents is available for the month of August 2017, by picking up passes at any of the Library branches. Please show valid ID. Children 18 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. General Admission includes all day access to all of the Science Center’s  hands-on exhibits. For more information about the Connecticut Science Center, including exhibits, visit CTScienceCenter.org. Funding provided by the Beatrice Auerbach Foundation Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.


The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk Library Discount Card

The card discounts the Aquarium and IMAX tickets by $2.00 person for up to six people.

Any valid CT library card may be used to borrow the Discount Card, as long as it is registered into our circulation system. We do require you to have the card with you. The pass must be returned to the Youth Services desk within 24 hours. The late fee is $50.00.


Mystic Aquarium Library Pass

The pass is good for $5 off up to four admissions (4 people).

Any valid CT library card may be used to borrow the Discount Card, as long as it is registered into our circulation system. We do require you to have the card with you. The pass must be returned to the Youth Services desk within 24 hours. The late fee is $50.


State Parks and Forests Day Pass

The pass waives the vehicle entrance fees for private passenger vehicles carrying no more than 12 people. The pass admits up to two adults and four children at Dinosaur, Fort Trumbull and Gillette Castle State Parks.

Wadsworth Atheneum Art Pass

The ARTpass offers free general museum admission for up to two adults and two children (ages 6–17) visiting the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art.

Wadsworth Atheneum

The ARTpass offers free general museum admission for up to two adults (age 18 and up) visiting the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art. Youth, ages 17 and younger, get in free at all times. It also provides “buy one get one free” film admission. ARTpass may not be combined with any other discounts or used for group tours. Additional fees apply during the museum's annual fundraisers Fine Art & Flowers and Festival of Trees & Traditions, and some special exhibitions. It can be checked out at the Downtown Library Service desk on the day it is to be used. Each neighborhood branch has an ARTpass as well.

Please note: Through a partnership with the City of Hartford and the museum’s longtime corporate partner Aetna, the Wadsworth Atheneum developed Wadsworth Welcome, a new program to offer free admission to all Hartford residents.
